Tom Brokaw to Host March 18 Special
On Climate Change on Discovery Channel

Impacts on the lives of “everyday Americans” and the country’s efforts “to ensure a healthy future for our planet” are being promoted as hallmarks of an upcoming Tom Brokaw Discovery Channel special on climate change, due to air March 18 at 10 p.m. eastern and pacific time.

Discovery Channel President and General Manager John Ford points to the long-time NBC News anchor’s “unprecedented journalistic approach” as the new hour-long, high-definition program “unravels the dire consequences that the phenomenon will have on the country” and potential solutions.

Brokaw’s 2006 Discovery Channel Emmy-winning special, “Global Warming: What You Need to Know with Tom Brokaw” raised hoots and howls from climate “skeptics” and contrarians. Few expect that the new “Global Warming: The New Challenge With Tom Brokaw” will have a much different reaction.
